Salton Sea Science Office

The Salton Sea Science Office has led the scientific efforts to describe and understand the Salton Sea.  In the first few years after being chartered, this office provided oversight and peer review of ongoing scientific investigations which established a firm base of integrated knowledge on which management decisions could be made.  Concurrently the office organized and hosted a number of expert workshops and symposia to build on the existing knowledge to develop a more refined set of informational needs.  The office continues to provide this scientific leadership.
