Course title: Safety: USGS 8-Hour HAZWOPER Site Worker Refresher (ILT)
Description: This course meets the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120 (e)(8), refresher training for maintaining a HAZWOPER 24/40 hour certification. Topics covered during this class include and are not limited to, a review of sites or locations students have worked during the past year, a review of the HAZWOPER Standard (29 CFR 1910.120), a review of the NIOSH pocket guide and safety data sheets, review of air monitoring, respiratory protection, and ppe.
The training objective is to ensure that personnel are up to date and currant regarding safely conducting work in areas that are covered by the HAZWOPER standard. It also serves the purpose of ensuring that students who previously received a HAZWOPER 24/40 certification are in compliance with maintaining that certification.
Target Audience:
This training is appropriate for any personnel needing HAZWOPER refresher training.
