USGS Basic Snowmobile Operator Course

Course title: USGS Basic Snowmobile Operator Course
Description: This is an 8 hour blended learning course in Basic Snowmobile Operation. The pre-class portion of the course contains two lessons: Lesson 1) preparing to ride, and Lesson 2) riding the snowmobile. Students are expected to review and be familiar with the pre-class material before they show up for the Hands-On portion of the course which is conducted by an Instructor. Students will practice and demonstrate skills in the field using snowmobiles on a set course under Instructor supervision.
Include meeting USGS requirements as specified in SM 445-2-H Chapter 16 and student demonstration of sufficient skills and knowledge to safely operate a snowmobile for the prupose of completing their USGS mission.
