Course title: Motorboat Operator Certification Course (MOCC) - Practicals Module
Description: PREREQUISITE: the MOCC TEL Prerequisite (OLT) module. This course involves "hands-on" watercraft activities, including watercraft handling and maneuvering, docking, emergency procedures, fire suppression, and trailering exercises. This Practicals Module and the TEL Modules, Part 1 and Part 2, are required DOI training courses for those operating watercraft of less than 26 feet. A written certification exam will be given on the last day of class.
To provide skills to safely operate a boat; inform students about safety gear through demos and use; and have students demonstrate that they have the skills needed to safely operate a boat for field work.
