Course title: USGS Wilderness First Aid
Description: This course is advanced first aid training for employees who work in the field. It focuses on providing first aid to individuals in remote locations and helps employees treat injuries encountered in field situations. It includes topics to help employees identify life threatening medical situations and determine what situations require advanced medical assistance. The third day of the course is spent outdoors in field scenarios and situations so students can practice skills learned during the course.

Objectives: To provide first aid training for field employees who work in remote areas and a often long distances away from medical assistance.
