Course title: Quality-Control Sample Design and Interpretation
Description: This 5-day course will introduce techniques for incorporating quality-control samples in water-quality projects. The techniques will include considerations of: (1) the objectives of collecting environmental samples, (2) the use of each quality-control sample type, (3) the statistical implications of the number of samples collected, (4) cost, (5) interpretation, (6) remedial actions, and (7) publishing.
Objectives:
Gain knowledge for techniques for incorporating quality-control samples in water-quality projects.
Target Audience:
The course is designed primarily for hydrologists responsible for implementing water-quality data collection programs and projects and interpreting water-quality data.
