Course title: Python Programming Language and Groundwater Modeling - Part 1 - Introduction to python for hydrologists
Description: Use the Python Programming Language for hydrologic analyses. This course focuses on the use of the Python programming language to facilitate many of the tasks required for hydrologic analyses models, including formatting hydrologic data, statistical analysis, numerical calculations, and plotting data.

Target Audience:
Scientists developing, calibrating, and using groundwater models. Non-DOI students may attend on a space available basis. Please submit your Non-USGS Registration form found here: http://www.usgs.gov/humancapital/documents/NonUSGSApplicationForm.pdf.
NOTE: Students must bring a laptop for this class. The laptop must have special software installed prior to class. Software information will be provided in advance of the class.

Prerequisites: This course requires a basic understanding of the use of scripting languages. A few training modules on codecademy (https://codecademy.com/en/tracks/python) will be suggested prior to the class for attendees unfamiliar with the use of coding languages and/or python.
