No, USGS also looks at the environmental effects of activities associated with a range of energy resources, including air and water impacts from fossil energy occurrence, development, and utilization; produced waters from oil and gas drilling; and induced seismicity from a variety of energy resources including petroleum production wastewater injection, geothermal energy, and geologic carbon sequestration.
